Jon Olivier has a plan that can save us all from Trump and save Donald’s reputation at the same time. The plan is so masterful that it might also save the entire United States political system. According to the Last Week Tonight show host Trump needs to quit and tell the world that his campaign was just a hoax to expose a flawed politcal system.
“Just think about how triumphant it would feel to say on national television: ‘I openly ran on a platform of impossibly ignorant proposals steeped in racial bigotry and nobody stopped me,’” Oliver said on HBO’s “Last Week Tonight” on Sunday night. “In fact, you embraced me for it. What the fuck was that about?”
Oliver also points out that Trump has already done a great job exposing flaws in the system. Most notably he’s admitted to manipulating the media, blatanly buying off candidates in both parties and proven that he can say the most vile things and still being supported by his base.
Not leaving anything to chance (and in true comedic fashion) Jon found the perfect playbook for Donald to follow: A fictional story of a boy that ran for president as a joke, but made a speech that told the country they need to get it together.
“That would be one of the most powerful political speeches of all time. If you drop out in order to teach America a lesson, you would not be a loser. You would be a legend. There’d be a federal holiday in your honor.”
Many people have posited that Donald never entered the race with any intention of actually winning. It was a publicity stunt from the start but he never imagined that he would get this far. The case could be made that all of his outrageous comments were him actually trying to lose so that he could get back to his real business. Now Jon Olivier has given him the perfect plan to execute.
